Coconut Water

Coconut water, less commonly coconut juice, is the clear liquid inside coconuts (fruits of the coconut palm). Coconut water is the juice found in the centre of a young, green coconut. It helps nourish the fruit. Coconut water forms naturally in the fruit and contains 94% water and very little fat.
Shelf life: Can be stored for 1 week approx.in refridgeration.

Coconut water is found in young coconuts and a good source of fibre, vitamin C and several important minerals as Carbs: 9 grams, Fiber: 3 grams, Protein: 2 grams, Vitamin C: 10% of the RDI, Magnesium: 15% of the RDI, Manganese: 17% of the RDI, Potassium: 17% of the RDI, Sodium: 11% of the RDI, Calcium: 6% of the RDI (all approx) are contained per cup (i.e. 165 gms) of mango

Benefits

In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, coconut water is believed to help digestion, urination, and even semen production. It has also traditionally been used to treat dehydration and given as ceremonial gifts throughout the tropics. While it may not be a miracle cure, it does have many health benefits.
